Can This 4-Question Test Really Reveal Your Myers-Briggs Type?
I recently stumbled upon this 4 question test that’s apparently the “most accurate” way to find out your Myers-Briggs type. It had me intrigued since I’m the type of person that wants to know anyone and everyone’s Myers-Briggs type within 5 minutes of meeting them. Unfortunately, people aren’t always too keen on answering the 100 questions the test entails in order for me to know like right then and there. So, being able to figure out their type after only 4 questions sounds pretty great- in fact, maybe a little “too” great.
I decided to try this test out to see just how accurate the results really are. If it really is accurate, why in the world did I spend so long answering a 100-question test (I’ve actually done this a few times just to make sure my results were correct). I mean personality tests are fun to take, but this would have been much more simple. I’m excited to see how accurate this test is. Feel free to take it too!
The Test + My Test Results
Question 1 Result: I’d definitely choose to stay home, although I wouldn’t stay home just to read a book or do a puzzle (like the quiz mentioned). I’d probably stay home to clean, work, etc because I like doing those things more than relaxing (for the most part). Also, there are times when I’d rather spend time with people than be alone. Those times are few and far between, but it happens! I’d definitely say my result is “I.” (Result: I)
Question 2 Result: I really can’t decide which one I’d choose on this one. I’m usually thinking more about the past and future than the present, but I do try to be “in the moment” a lot of the time. Also, I rely on facts more than my intuition. I’m an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) but I try not to make decisions based solely off of my feelings. I place a lot of importance on facts, research, pro and con lists, etc. I would say I’m half S and half N for this one. (Result: S or N)
Question 3 Result: I think I’d choose the answer for “T,” although what I want or what “my heart” wants sometimes does influence my decision. But like I said earlier, I do try to make informed decisions based on facts, research, pro and con lists, etc. (Result: T)
Question 4 Result: I’d definitely choose the answer for “J” on this one. Sometimes I get so stressed and overwhelmed that I don’t do anything productive, but for the most part I actually enjoy planning things (as long as I’m the one planning things out, not someone else… oops, haha). (Result: J)
My Thoughts On This 4-Question Test
According to this test, I’m either an INTJ or ISTJ. Since I’ve taken longer, more reputable Myers-Briggs tests many times and always gotten INFJ, this test doesn’t seem to be accurate. Which is kind of a bummer, since this could have been a great little test to have people take spur of the moment! But tell me what your results were! Were they accurate with other Myers-Briggs or 16 Personalities tests you’ve taken? Let me know in the comments below! Maybe my results were all over the place because my type is pretty contradictory and hard to type without going through a lot of questions. I can’t wait to hear what your results are!
