I’m honestly so excited about this post! A couple of weeks ago I asked you guys (on Twitter) if you’d be interested in me testing out different subscription boxes under $10 and I got a resounding “yes!” I’ve always been intrigued by subscription boxes. There’s something so exciting about not knowing what cool products you’re going to be opening up. So, of course, I loved having a reason to buy 5 of them (in the name of blogging and for YOU guys, of course).
While getting my life back on track, I realized that implementing a skin care routine into my daily schedule would really benefit me. I actually don’t have a TON of acne, but I’ve never taken the best at taking care of my skin. Truth be told, I probably removed my makeup before bed a total of 3 times the past few years. Just because I don’t have a ton of acne, doesn’t mean my skin wasn’t in need of improvement.
Fixing damaged hair is a hot topic these days and it’s not hard to understand why that would be the case! Most of us, by our 20’s, have discovered the magical world of hair dyes, curling irons, straighteners, blow dryers, and everything else that temporarily makes our hair look good. Most of us have also come to the harsh realization that these things also cause a heck of a lot of damage.
I’m the type of person that’s pretty quiet in a group setting (I mean hello, my blog is mainly about being an introvert). There’s honestly only a few things that make me come alive and get me talking when I’m around a group of people that I’m not completely comfortable with yet. Those two things are… People’s passions, personality types, or anything else that’s not surface level chit-chat and things I love.
Until a couple of years ago, I could have cared less about my skin and nails. Shopping for skincare products, for me, looked like going to Walmart and grabbing whichever products were cheapest but still smelled good. Back then, I also had A LOT of acne, nails that looked like a 90-year-old grandpa’s (okay, maybe not that bad), and dry itchy skin that was just aching for anything but another $2 product to save it.
Fun fact (that’s really not fun at all): For the first 23 years of my life, my hair would not (and I mean WOULD NOT) grow past my shoulders. I was born with such fine, fragile hair that has always started breaking off whenever it gets to around shoulder length. When I say it’s fine, I mean really fine.
Holy manole, where did April go!? It feels like just yesterday Connor and I were hopping on our cruise and stuffing our faces with mediocre buffet food. The last half of the month seemed to go by ESPECIALLY fast since I was spending most of it switching my website over to Wordpress and digging way down deep into my soul to figure out exactly what I want to do with this little space of mine on the internet.
If you follow me on Instagram and watch my stories, you know how excited I was to receive my package of goodies from Suzanne Somers. I was like a little kid on Christmas when it arrived! And that’s simply because I LOVE high-quality organic beauty products. Even though I was excited about receiving these products, I was slightly worried that they wouldn’t live up to my expectations.
I’m so excited about today’s post! I’ve actually never done a beauty product haul or roundup before, so my excitement levels are through the roof! I definitely wouldn’t consider myself a beauty or fashion blogger (hence the fact that there are like zero pictures of me on my site- okay, there’s a few, but not many) but I do love my beauty products.
I used to avoid people with cold sores like the plague. Okay, I didn’t actually avoid them (that would just be rude) but I did avoid kissing/borrowing chapstick/sharing drinks with anyone who had ever had a cold sore. Yes, I’d actually ask people if they’ve ever had one before because I was scared out of my mind.
