Setting boundaries has always been my WORST NIGHTMARE. I've spent the majority of my life doing everything I can to avoid hurting and disappointing people... BUT recently I've been trying to make a real effort to set boundaries assertively and to be myself unapologetically.
I've been wanting to write this article for awhile but have been avoiding it simply because it's such a heavy topic and I don't want to mess it up. I don't take my articles about being an INFJ lightly because (and this may sound silly to people who aren't Myers Briggs obsessed) finding out I was an INFJ was life-changing for me!
Generally, INFJ's make warm and compassionate partners who bring excitement and joy to a relationship. My husband has often told me that "there's never a dull moment" with me. We're passionate, loving, caring, and deep...but that doesn't mean we don't come with some...ahem, complications.
INFJ's, otherwise known as "Advocates," by MBTI terms, are a rare and complicated species. They're easily misunderstood because of their contradictory characteristics and their mysterious and private nature. I've assembled a list of carefully chosen memes that I believe describe what it's like to be an INFJ.
If you read my last post, 20 Things You've Experienced If You're an INFJ, you'll know that I'm a pretty introverted and independent (ahem...could be considered stubborn) person. In fact, the idea of getting married always excited me but also scared the pazookies out of me!
Even though my own brain confuses me daily, I do feel like I have a pretty good sense of who I am and what's important to me, so I compiled a list of a few things that I feel/think as an INFJ. Hopefully, other INFJ's will find comfort in knowing that someone can relate.
